Finance internship

INTERNSHIP FINANCE (1,0 fte.)

As an intern within the Finance Department, your main task will be creating and updating process documentation and internal controls and optimizing finance processes. Other tasks will include daily tasks of the financial employee as well as involvement in finance projects. Example of other tasks include:

• Preparation of documents necessary for audit of financial statements, tax authority, and other instances;
• Follow up on overdue debtors;
• Analysis of financial figures;
• Supporting finance team in monthly closing activities;
• Assisting in projects of implementation of AFAS financial system modules;
• Generating and designing financial reports.  

The ideal candidate:

• Studying a bachelor degree program in finance, accountancy or related field;
• Affinity and experience with digital administrative systems (IT skills), among others Microsoft Office;
• Good verbal and written proficiency of the English and Dutch language;
• Flexible and cooperative attitude to work in a dynamic environment with a passion for finance;
• You are a team player with good communication skills.

The University of Aruba offers: We offer you a 5-6 months internship between July 2020 and January 2021 with a compensation of AWG 750,- per month. You will have the opportunity to experience a financial department where you will find a lot of challenges and can learn how to optimize processes.
